Braille Music Converter v.01

Braille Music Converter is a Lab tool that turns sheet music into braille music. It is free for blind and visually impaired musicians and the teachers who work with them.

What you can do
Piece list: download Soundpost pieces that are already converted to braille.
Original score: each piece links to its Soundpost page, where you can see the print score and listen to the full piece.
Convert my file: choose a MusicXML file you have and get braille music right away. Your file is converted on your own computer and never uploaded.
Choose the part (solo, accompaniment, both, etc.) and the line length (32 or 40 cells).
Emboss the BRF file on a braille embosser or read it on a braille display.
Works with screen readers (NVDA, etc.) and the keyboard alone.

If a piece is missing, leave a comment on this post, or use “Request a piece” inside the tool; it appears here as a comment. We will add pieces one by one.

Only pieces already on Soundpost (https://www.soundpost.co.kr) can be requested.
We do not create new arrangements for braille.
Only pieces with up to 2 parts (solo, solo with accompaniment, or duo) are accepted.

Good to know
The braille music is made automatically by a program. Please check it with a braille music reader before a performance.
This tool is for PC.
