fhole Dictionary
A dictionary of violin, viola, cello and bow makers recorded at fhole.co.kr since 2007.
The labels of the instruments that passed through fhole (fhole.co.kr) carry the names of many makers.
We have gathered those names into one dictionary.
· Browse makers outside Korea from A to Z, and Korean makers in Korean order.
· Search by Latin spellings, variant spellings or the usual name.
· Each entry lists country and city, dates, teachers and family, a short biography, label and stamp photos, and the instruments recorded at fhole.
· A new edition comes out every month. "New in this edition" on the first page shows what was added.
· String instrument and bow makers working in Korea can apply to be listed.
This dictionary collects fhole's instrument records since 2007. It does not record whether labels or instruments are authentic, and it may contain errors. For authenticity and prices, please check the fhole website.
